Every time I come in town for a game I never know where to go for a decent meal. I don't want to throw down big bucks at Republic or Porters, but I want something more than a chain or burger/pizza joint.

Something like Napa Flats level where you can get a salad or salmon or decent meal. Any suggestions in Bryan or College Station.

Haven't been there in a couple years since we moved, but we really liked Fish Daddy's. Shrimp cocktail, mahi mahi, salad with their lemon vinaigrette, and their steaks are pretty decent too. Also, their fish tacos are awesome.

Marfa's is good! Start at Downtown Uncorked next door for a pre dinner glass of wine (if that's your thing) then pop over to Marfa's.

I had the salmon at Varsity Grille on Tuesday, and it was very good. Very nice restaurant setting.

Varsity is pretty good, never really crowded either.

Solt and Urban Table fall into those categories.

Solt is officially closed now.
