Is thrre a "better" video game store around within a couple hours' drive that you would recommend? Looking for a PS2 "fat" console and N64 games and accessories.

Our PS2 has given up completely. Its not the disc drive its something motherboard related.

They are getting harder to find. Besides online you have a few options.
Several N64 games are available on the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/nintendo-64-nintendo-switch-online-switch/
They also sell a N64 Switch controller https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/nintendo-64-controller/

PS2 doesn't have a good option unless you want to go emulation like retropie.

There are a couple of booths at The Vintage Circle that have games and consoles.

Might try Nerdvana in College Station (Post Oak Mall). They have a wide selection of vintage novelties plus a bunch of old (80's style) arcade games you can play.

Entertainmart at the mall has vintage games and consoles.

Check out Game Xchange next to Harvey Washbangers too.

Game Exchange didn't have any consoles.

I'll try the place at the mall. I haven't been to the mall in years so I hadn't heard of this place.

I'm not really a "retro game guy" but there are several old games that the kids and I like to play and we've just kept the old stuff around. The PS2 is important because it also plays PS1 games. Unlike the PS3 which can play some games, but only on tuesdays when the moon is waxing gibbous or something like that.....

Game Xchange has older stuff, but their selection isn't great right recently. Your best bet is Ebay or FB market place

It's been a couple of years since I went, but La Gabriella on Eastgate used to have a small collection for sale.

Yeah I remember getting Metroid Prime and Pikmin on GameCube there. Before the prices drove up, but even then it was a bargain, probably spent $30 between the two of them.

By and large any "local" "used" video game store is a ripoff. In Florida I saw them selling the BOX ONLY for a SNES for like $40.

Yeah. I want some specific N64 games and they are pricey. It is sometimes cheaper to buy a complete console and games from somebody on facebook rather than buy the 3 games you want from a store.

I've got a PS2 fat, two controllers, and a handful of games. Not in BCS, but not far in Montgomery.

Email eclipse-oculars0g@icloud.com since I'm too cheap for stars.

I saw somebody pick up a pair of N64 games from them today, so can confirm they still have them.

The owner collects games/consoles and when he finds a good deal on a duplicate or better version for his collection he sells the extra one at the shop. It makes for a random selection, but he's not trying to charge crazy prices either as it's more of an overflow for his hobby that doesn't have to deal with eBay hassle.

Oh and their coffee/pastries are the best in town haha.

I went in this morning. There were games, but none I was interested in. Coffee was quite good!
