9 years old. He knows how to kick and dribble everything but has never played organized team soccer.

What's the best league for someone like him?.. TIA

College Station Soccer Club is good for beginners. Cavalry Youth Academy if he wants to learn skill.

We play in CSSC and really like it. You may still be able to sign up for spring. I know it opened earlier this month. You can play fall only, spring only, or get a discount if you play both. If you play both, they stay on the same team for both fall and spring.

Central Church and the Catholic churches also both have their own leagues. We played in both, and felt it wasn't developing skills as well as we would have liked, so we made the switch to CSSC. Central is good for fun soccer with a touch of Christian fellowship. Victory Sports (catholic churches) is good for the same, but instead of non denominational teachings, they bring in scripture and catholic teachings in regards to sportsmanship and development as a person.
