How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have a stuffed animal I'm seeking to get cleaned up, restuffed, and sewn up. Does anyone have leads on a place that can do this locally? I found some businesses in Austin but we'd rather not ship if possible.

Thanks

Full restoration, or just someone to add stuffing, stitch up, and clean?

I feel like most alteration places and maybe even dry cleaners could handle that.

If it's a full restoration, it's worth looking at specialty places in Austin/Houston.

My daughter makes stuffed animals by hand and would be willing to take a look. Just send me a PM.

Depending on how much you want to invest you can take it to The Doll Hospital in Old Town Spring. We took a Smokey the Bear there several years ago. It was from the 1950's and his head had come off. They cleaned, re-stuffed and reattached his head. He came back looking brand new. They have a facebook page and you can always call them and get the details before you drive over there.

A good taxidermist should be able to help.

There's a teddy bear hospital in Vermont that's honestly worth a visit. GF and I found it on a road trip and it was a hoot.
