Don't forget that when it comes to campus performance, Rock Prairie is now a Title I school which it has not always been.

That sounds like a good thing. Is it not?
Title I is indicator that your students will be harder to educate for a multitude of reasons. If Rock Prairie always hovered just outside of the classification and is now just inside it, it is likely good because they have more funds to do basically the same job. If they were historically well above the cut off and/or are now well below, it is an indication that it will be more difficult to achieve their historical performance levels.

All that said, it is still possible to do a good job and score well with a Title I school.

Not when the administration at the very top level is actively hindering the process
Certainly true, but who knows if that's the case?

The teachers

Without details, it's hard to know exactly what you're getting at. Perhaps the teachers are right. Perhaps it's the teachers who are bringing the campus down and are upset that the principal allowing them to be mediocre is gone. Again, without you actually adding something to the conversation, it's hard to know which is true.

Your posts show you are just speculating and I'm not sure why except to just troll here. Mods won't let anyone post anything until a news org publishes a story so I can't give the facts

I posted a rumor that others have confirmed. Everything else has been hypotheticals to respond to points others have made. Once again, if you actually know something, great, but until then, I'm not buying the mean administration argument more than any other.

Look at the map; elementary attendance zones make a lot of sense based on proximity. You can make the case that they got creative with the high school zones (we're zoned to Consol but are way closer to CSHS), but it's not really the case with elementary.

That was the case for elementary zones.

Harkrider is putting his unfortunate stamp on this district. I hope he is not renewed.

I heard today that the RP teachers are happy with this change.

TEA ratings released. Woof.

TEA ratings were rigged 3 years ago to make public schools look horrible this go around. It was designed for Abbott to be able to point to his voucher scheme and look like a hero. It's all ridiculous. But I digress…

Abbott played the three-year long game with TEA ratings to get his voucher idea passed recently?

Ok.

TEA ratings a bit of a derail. Abbot certainly isn't enough of a long game player to have had ratings as a 3 year plan. School districts were able to pull that off all on their own

If you have to put out some fancy graphic to try and convince people, it ain't all rosy goings on.

Take a look at the report card.

School Ratings - Elementary Schools - College Station Independent School District

RP_TAPR_2324.pdf

For answers on why they received such a poor report card, look at page 18.

"Rock Prairie is Title 1 school. And it wasn't getting the extra staffing it needs for that (Harkrider's fault)... which is why some good teachers quit mid-year."

From what I have heard, the exact opposite is true. Rock Prairie had additional Title 1 funds available and the principal never used them.

Facts. LOTS of unused funds.

Who exactly gets those "lose them" funds?

As I recall the medians were the same kinds of funds.

Not sure we should equate funds that could and should have been used to help educate socio-economically disadvantaged elementary school kids with funds used for medians.

It's called COVID. Test scores are going to be going down because of decisions made in 2020. Students are behind.
