They should get big reductions this year because I don't think sales prices have risen over last year to justify a 10% increase.

Also use Ownwell. Last year they were able to keep us to no increase, and I think we paid $30. I know there's at least one property tax protest company that advertises on the radio but at 3:50 on a friday I can't remember their name.
I signed up for Ownwell. Anything is better than 10% increase.
5% up on mine, so not too painful. 40% from 2020. Ownwell referal code below, didn't get it down past the homestead exemption limit, but still knocked off 30k off the appraisal last year.

Up 18%. Appraised for $140k more than we paid for the house literally one year ago. Absolutely ridiculous and will be fighting it for the first time. They also aren't reflecting my HS exemption I filed with them a couple of months before the deadline.
I will take this opportunity to point out that CSAN is made up of a lot of retirees, whose taxes are frozen.

Are you a retiree? I am a retiree and the only thing the only thing that is "frozen" for me is CSISD. At least that is what the appraisal district told me.
I am not, and I own rental property. So, I pay my fair share. CSISD taking the lion's share.

I briefly worked in a CAD during protest season. It was the commercial division but in almost every case I know of (save for one, which had to go to the arbitration committee) they were able to lower the taxes. I think it's more of a game they play, they know that it's overpriced and only if you speak up will lower your taxes to something more appropriate.
Last night I responded to a post here but figured it was overly harsh and ended up removing it voluntarily (deciding to rework it entirely) but then the next day I found that the post I was going to reply to was also removed. The thread used to have three pages.
They pump water to my house, remove sewage, and provide electric. They also pick up the trash (all that for added fees). If someone breaks in, they send the police to take a report. If I fall and break my arm, or the place catches on fire, they send the FD. As an added bonus, they waste my tax dollars on Macy's stores, and other various boondoggles. I paid $30 because that was a percentage of what we saved.

Laziness is just another word for "efficiency". They charge you for convenience.
Don't forget - they also charge you for that "service" if you actually need to use it.
