Seriously not trying to be a jerk. Genuinely curious. Why don't folks get married in churches anymore?

Catholics still do

Not all... We had a catholic wedding at Avalon...

Catholic marriages are only really recognized in the church if they take place in a Catholic church with a Catholic priest or Deacon officiating (with very few exceptions that must be approved by the diocese bishop- like structural damage to the church you booked). It has to do with the solemnity of the Sacrament of marriage.

Nope.. we had an officially recognized, outside of the church, official catholic wedding at Avalon.. I can show you the photos if you want..

We were very happy with the Gin at Hidalgo Falls a few years ago.
We were at the Gin in November for a wedding and they had a chapel under construction. Not sure about seating capacity.

Ooh boy, I'll tell you what. If I was just starting out in life and looking for a career, wedding venue owner would be at the top of my list. The prices these places are getting for one day rentals is insane.

Prolly take you seven days of hard labor to prepare for that one day pay out.

My sis-in-law is in the wedding business. It was a side gig that is now her main gig.

People pay ridiculous money for wedding stuff. It's hard to grasp.

Yep. But there has to be more to it than just making money

Full time employees
Probably outrageous taxes and property insurance

Also I would imagine an easy million investment
All I can think of right now

Tailgate88, My daughter's wedding was at Camp Hosea about a year ago. I think they started off with around 125 on the guest list, but ended up closer to 160, so very similar size. Camp Hosea was pretty new at that time and we had a few minor communication issues, but the wedding and reception went off without a hitch. Holler at me if you want more info - happy to share.

Deep in the Heart is outside of Brenham. It has a Brenham address and is literally around the corner from me. It is in Washington County. Odd description to say it is outside of Navasota.

Well to get to it from BCS the fastest way is to go to Navasota and turn right.

Amish barn would be a nice private rural location. Wineberg is very nice. The Cotton Silo down by the Moore Farm is very nice. There is a nice place west of Caldwell just after you make the turn to go to Lexington.

Sargentos Mexican Restaurant in Franklin has leased a nice large venue off of 2818 in NW Bryan for their event and to lease out.. rural and close in. You can use them for catering or use your own caterer.

There's about 10 more withn about 30 miles of BCS.
More like 150 more within 30 miles of bcs... Market is oversaturated.

Peach Creek Ranch. GORGEOUS venue. Great Aggie owners. They are good friends and neighbors.

FYI, should you need an Airbnb, mine is 200 yards away as a crow flies.

When did they get an indoor chapel?
