Are there any baseball fields that are available to the public in CS? I know some of the fields get locked so no one can access them. Just looking for a place we can go and hit some ground balls without it being a life threatening situation. I know some churches/parks have backstops, but hitting a ground ball could create a huge dental bill.

Not sure that they're technically available but Bee Creek and Lemontree Park are often available. Both are small and Lemontree is very small but will work for groudners.

There used to be a field at Pebble Creek Elementary, at least a home plate and backstop. Not sure about any other bases or pitcher's mound.

Wait, what exactly are you wanting with a field? More than a backstop? Are you wanting an L-screen to stand behind?

L-screen is a nice to have, but not absolutely necessary.

If you're just wanting to do infield practice and hit to a fielder, you just need a backstop.
If you're wanting to take batting practice, check and see if the cages at Wayne Smith are open.

The nice fields are locked up.

If you're worried about dental, just buy a catcher's mask at academy for $60 and use that when practicing in a local field in case the ball hops off an ant hill. Or just go halfway and get a mouthguard. Leave them at home when playing in games on the good fields. Catcher's mask is way cheaper than dental work.
