What's up with none of the grocery stores having any watermelons? I read a report that the valley had a great year. Anyone have information?

I've grabbed a few from Farm Patch and they've had plenty!

Just purchased from HEB and cut it up over the weekend. We stopped by the one on Texas, and it was pretty good.

We've bought 2 at Kroger. Where are you looking?

What? Even Target had watermelons when we were in there yesterday. I bought 2 from HEB over the weekend.

At some point one of the Bryan farm market vendors gets in something like 4-5 different varieties and offers samples as well. I'll update when he has them.

the Jones Crossing HEB didn't have any the last 3 days and Kroger didn't yesterday. I will try the places you have listed. Thanks

I just bought a watermelon from Kroger on Rock Prairie yesterday. They had boxes of watermelon.

Wow! Just bought one from there prob 4 days ago and there was a ton. And it was a good one

Plenty of watermelons at the Towerpoint HEB.

Kroger at Boonville had several boxes of Black Diamonds, the legendary king of the heirloom varieties that was popular until shipping and acreage concerns overrode taste back in the 70's. Easily spotted by the deep green, almost solid black, color of the skin.

Don't know if they still have any, but if they do, don't wait long.

Village Foods today had a bunch of "organic" watermelons, whole. Guessing Sugar Babies by the size.

Wiggins Watermelons has opened their roadside stand, at FM60 & FM50.
Watermelons and cantaloupes.
Not sure of their hours, 9-5?
