Pretty sure the medians are a TXDOT partnership with thw cities not just a stand alone project. Both Bryan and College Station had to sign off on them.

I think the cities have used TXDOT as the boogie man but had a fair amount of say in the projects.

Kind of like the east loop. I dont know if I heard it here or somewhere else but the east loop isn't dead. The county is just going to hand it off to TXDOT in the next couple years and let them run point on it so they dont take the blame but the project gets to move forward. We'll see i guess?
