This has been my experience trying to grow poblanos here. I cannot for the life of me grow nice big ones like you see at Farm Patch and other places. They just seem harder to grow than other kinds.

I'm also trying to give away the abundance and having the small poblano problem still (yes the jokes write themselves). I've never had greens grow as damn fast as this fall; already re-planting arugula, bok choy, and other Asian greens, and mustard. Turnip greens remain my favorite and mustard below them and collards but I'll force myself to find recipes for them.

My wife won't eat the green ones but she likes the others.

My poblano peppers are always small this time of year. I get store size large ones from my spring plants, honestly I couldn't believe it this year. These were planted mid march and covered when we got that late cold snap. Once the weather gets hot they get small. With the weather cooling down they are starting to get larger, not sure they will get store size again.

I need to get my ground prepped for onion planting this month, plus greens, radishes, etc.. Never enough hours of daylight this time of year.
