From my office window, I just saw a large United Airlines plane at Easterwood. No pictures as proof, but others saw it too.

United plane just landed at Easterwood!

It will be one of the charters for Notre Dame. The football team probably left yesterday, but that is probably the plane that takes the Aggie Band (100 piece spirit band for this game only), Yell Leaders, OD's, Ms. Rev, and all the 12th Man Foundation big wigs and their guests.

my guess its the football team, they don't travel 2 days before anymore like Jimbo did.
Also i don't think the band stays, i thought they flew in, then flew right back out after the game

Actually, you're probably right. I didn't realize the team didn't travel on Thursdays anymore, but this plane is coming back tomorrow late right after the game, so it's probably the team.
The planes the band takes are usually based at Ft. Worth Alliance, and they often don't file a flight plan until right before they leave. Especially considering it's a night game, they are probably flying in tomorrow morning and back right after the game. The airline is like "Sun Country" or something. I'll keep an eye on Flightaware.
As someone who spends time in South Bend, a regular direct flight from here would be one of my greatest airline fantasies made real.
An Airbus 320 just landed at Easterwood. That will be the plane with the band etc. headed to South Bend shortly. They have not filed a flight plan yet but I'll watch for it.
Departing shortly - taking off to the south. If you're outside in College Station you'll probably see them.
This thread solidifies the idea that we really need a convention/event center to bring in visitors from all over.

Sometimes there is a larger than normal plane that lands and takes off from Easterwood! We can go park at the fire school and watch!!!
