Hi y'all, here to let everyone know about some amazing concerts coming up this fall, presented by Friends of Chamber Music. If you like classical music, you should check these out. If you like music in general, you should check these out. When they say "world-class musicians," they really mean it - these acts are at the top of their game and in demand around the globe. We get to see them right here in BCS! And nothing wrong with Mozart and Bach, but these concerts go beyond old-school classical, too, with some unique and innovative music.
--- First up is Anna Lapwood from London, perhaps the world's most famous organist. She's making only three stops in North America this fall -- New York, Dallas and College Station. Her concert next Friday, Sept. 19, is already sold out, but her master class on Saturday, Sept. 20, at A&M United Methodist, is free and open to the public. Register at: fcmtx.org.
--- October brings a Nordic folk trio, Dreamers' Circus, performing at the Ice House on Main in downtown Bryan, and in November the Danish String Quartet will appear at First Presbyterian Church in Bryan. Canadian Brass will come to town in February, and the vocal group Cantus will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. at the Bush Library in April.
fcmtx.org has all the details. Hope to see you there, music lovers!
