Looking for any insight into cheaper options for purchasing liquid chlorine, tablet chlorine, muriatic acid, borax, etc to maintain our pool. I know you can purchase directly from local pool stores and the big box hardware stores, but just looking for cheaper options from anyone who has purchased around town or using an online service.
Thanks!

Cheapest I found for 50lb chlorine tablets was via Amazon - the brand in the swim….which was shipped from Leslie's pool company. So I assume they make it?

I saw a place off sebesta rd called - Texas Pool Supply - never been…not sure if it's only for commercial accounts.

Leslie's is a bit cheaper than lowes/HD on a lot of stuff.

You might check with Criswells. At one point their prices were very competitive. Plus it's a locally owned company which I'd always a nice plus.

Costco sells the big tub of 3in tablets for $119 at the beginning of the season. I usually just get one of those. Walmart sells the gallon chlorine for $5.?? That's the cheapest of the liquid I've seen in town. Lowes is usually expensive. Leslie is decent but I don't go often enough to know if they have sales.

Leslie's just did a buy 3 get 1 free in liquid chlorine. They're still expensive across the board, though. Plus, it seems like every time I go in to pick up a calcium (I like their brand - I can add a bunch at once and it doesn't cloud my water) I get behind someone who has no clue what they need and it takes forever to get checked out. You figure I'd be smart enough to just start ordering online for pickup, but yeah, no.

We need a PinchaPenny in CS. I'll usually drive to Conroe for my monthly chlorine runs. I'm east of CS, so it's not completely terrible, plus I have good luck with their chlorine not salting up my Stenner tank and lines.

Walmart chlorine seems cheap, but it's 10% versus 12% and I've found it creates a ton of salts in my tank. Not as big of a deal if you're adding it direct, but watch your calculations if you're using it intermittently and be sure to adjust for the lower concentration.

I wait for sales at Leslie's and load up.
Also, join their rewards club.

Their rewards club is great. Doesn't take much to get $10 off.
