How long do you want to ignore this user?

Today I had to take a detour when trying to drive from Barron to Rock Prairie on Longmire, and I saw signs for a "Hwy 6/Barron" detour. There was a post on the City of CS FB Page in July that mentioned "reconfiguring lanes" at Longmire/Barron, and they've got one of the corners torn up. Does anyone have information on what the end result will be? I didn't see anything on the City website about it but I might not have been searching for the right terms.

It's a roundabout.

That is Longmire/Eagle. He asked about Longmire/Barron. I heard someone say a light but I sure hope not. Barron moves a lot of traffic and a light doesn't make sense that close to 6, and with Eagle available to get to 6 faster.

This thread confirms a traffic signal at Barron and Longmire. https://texags.com/forums/35/topics/3547830

Give them a few months, they will need to redo the Longmire/Eagle roundabout because it is just too small (and dangerous).

Ugh I'm not thrilled about a light there. It will have to be timed just right with the stop signs at Barron/6. :/ Why can I not see/find more details on the City website? I feel like a new signal is a big deal.

Going to be interesting seeing if that light backs up traffic onto 6 during rush hour.

Sounds like they copied the design of the new ones on William Joel Bryan.

Oh FFS, I thought it was just going to be a right turn lane which is definitely needed. If you need to turn left onto from longmire onto Barron you really should going over to the access road on eagle anyway.
