What happen? Water damage from bad install or ruined them trying to install pipes? Or something else
Full story: We are almost finished with a remodel. I built a platform for my front loaders, and screwed it into the wall. Went through a metal plate and stud into the supply line on the wall. Didn't leak for 15 years until a contractor took out the platform. Parker came and fixed it, no problems.
When installing the new baseboard in the half bath, the carpenter nailed into a copper line. He used a stud finder, but the line was touching the Sheetrock and showed as a stud. Parker came and fixed it, did a great job.
Ten days later, the painter calls and says the kitchen sink supply is leaking. I blamed them, as no other contractors had been in the house. Someone put a braided line on the supply valve and stuck it in the drain elbow, which they flipped upside down. They didn't tighten the collar, so water dripped into the new cabinets for 10 days. After blasting the painters, the cabinet maker called and said his installer was asked by the plumber to watch a bucket he put under the kitchen sink. No clue as to why the plumber was in there, and got no call about it.
Parker met us at the house and blamed it on the valve. He refused to take responsibility for his tech putting his hands on it, and claimed the tech couldn't recall being in our home. He still wouldn't accept responsibility after being told that another contractor watched his tech work under that sink, and spoke to the tech at that time.
It will end up going to court. We have pictures from July through September showing no line on the valve, and no water line on the Sheetrock in the dishwasher hole.
