Yep. Tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, collards, cabbage, other greens, lettuce and arugula, pole beans, cucumbers, heirloom zucchinus, celery, leeks. Astonished everything is doing well considering the drought.

I was hoping to be in the new house in time to put one in but that's not going to happen.

We have a decent winter season too so maybe you can take advantage of that.

We should be in by November. Hoping for at least salad greens.

Yeah you'll be fine for cool/cold weather crops. You've got roughly 120 days at least of cool-ish weather which is pretty good for a lot of crops.

You can still go plant in the yard. You don't need a house for that.

Currently,
Finishing out Okra and peppers.

Started Red and green Romaine, Broccoli, chard, and onions.
Walk softly and carry a big stick! Make sure the big stick makes big boom noises and flashy bright lights.

I'm trying to coax my 2 pepper plants that survived this summer to start flowering. Farmers Almanac is calling for warm dry fall so I'm thinking we'll have an extended season for those.

Also trying to keep enough moisture in the soil to keep my saffron alive and hopefully it blooms in November.

I'll start thinking about leafy greens for the cool weather in a couple of weeks.

Did saffron for the first time last year and got one of those little plastic boxes worth. Sadly I forgot to plant the dang corms this year and I assume it's too late now.
