Getting married in College Station in April and have been on the waitlist for Christopher's for 5-6 months for the rehearsal dinner. Found out today the person who was first on the waitlist booked the entire restaurant. So I am asking for a backup plan for a dinner location. Below is a list of some places I've been to or have heard good things about. Looking for somewhere that could sit 40-50 folks. Open to any suggestions

Texas A&M Hotel/Conference Center. Ours was there last weekend. They did a good job.

That's where our hotel block is. Food quality was solid?

Food quality Friday night was good. Groom's family offered guests three selections: a beef short rib dish, a chicken dish and a pork loin dish, I believe. Everyone I heard mention their meal liked it. And honestly, given a couple of lunches I had had there recently, I was not expecting much. But I think they did just fine. They seated us in the bar section at the front of the restaurant and it worked out fine for what I would guess was 40-50 people.

My daughter's rehearsal dinner was at Elia Cafe Tapas Bar in downtown Bryan. They did a great job. If I recall, there was about 25 to 30 guests at her dinner, and the room was not too crowded. You might need to check with them to see if they can seat 40 to 50.

I'll have to try it. A lot of these places I haven't tried. We typically drop in for the games and get back to Houston so we don't stick around to try new places. Thank you all for the recommendations.
