I think we're in "print the legend" territory with out of country guests. OP may disagree and that's fine. But Penny's Diner is an authentic representation of what passes for a typical American diner these days. OP asked for suggestions and that's mine.

Pretty sure those were two different locations but PS3D knows this stuff better than me, maybe he can clear it up. IIRC Taqueria was kind of behind Deluxe...admittedly a long time ago.

We reserved tables in the diner for Sunday brunch last football season on several occasions. Food, service, and atmosphere were awesome every time!
I am not reading this whole thread. Just came to say that I love eating there. Unfortunately haven't been in probably a year due to the proximity to our house, but I miss the breakfast burrito and sitting in the back during a cool morning.
We also heard that it was closed. We will be there next time we come down. Great to hear it. We had a great brunch there last time.
My go-to for brunch is the Gardens and Greens Scramble. It's practically health food. Practically. It would be wrong not to eat it.
Thought today would be a good one to try their breakfast before the game. But of course, they're closed. The limited hours suck!
