AFAIK, all the ones grown around here are pines. The firs are shipped in. I think I'll try a fir from the Lions this year. We threw our artificial tree out last year.
I recall when I visited tree farms near here they were pines. I was just curious if there's a particular species that's "in" this year. Douglas firs were the "king" for years when I was growing up. I'd never heard of "Korean firs" until this year.
