So yes, we could have paid it sooner but I don't like giving the government my money to hold onto for longer than necessary. I went to pay our property taxes on the Brazos County Tax Assessor site and the payment option isn't there. I also tried calling to pay with the automated system and it can't find my property. Is anyone else having this issue? I don't see anywhere on the site where the payment is due before the due date if the date falls on a Saturday but maybe I'm missing something.

This is where I went but there was no option to actually pay. I think there has been a button or a payment system in previous years and it's just not there this time.

You're right! The little shopping cart button is not there.

I'm the same way, but man, you are going down to the wire at 5pm on the last day of the month which falls on a weekend. I would think Friday the 30th sometime before 5pm would have been perfect that way if you had an issue, someone would have been on the other end of the line with an answer to help. I can't imagine one extra day of hanging on to the money is worth this headache. Good luck

Can't pay mine either. No add to cart button once you find your property. Tried to pay by phone and that is not working either.

Have until Monday to avoid penalties, but I'm sure they will be slammed.

We don't trust the mail around here. We actually take ours to the tax office and get a receipt in hand.

This is especially true since USPS may not postmark the letter on the day it is mailed. It will be postmarked when it is first processed at a regional distribution center. U.S. Postal Service Policy Change Affects Postmark Timing
