Frontier internet question.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I know this was discussed a while back but I could not find anything on it. My wife signed up for Frontier internet today, I think I remember seeing lots of negative comments on it. Can you guys give me some feedback on it? I would really appreciate it.

My frontier fiber has been bullet proof since day one and great customer service as well. No complaints from me other than them getting bought by Verizon.

I switched to Frontier as soon as I could like 4-5 years ago and it was much better than whatever I had before here. I think I had Spectrum before. It wasn't fiber and it was horrible.

I've had virtually no issues with mine since I got it about three years ago. I could count the outages on one hand. All were short except one where they got me a new modem with no hassle.

2 years in and this is my story exactly. Maybe 2 total issues in that time? Speed is great. Not being Suddenlink/spectrum is even better.

We switched to Frontier fiber as soon as it was available in our area about 2 years ago and we have not regretted the switch. It is fast and stable.

Had an issue when the morons putting in a sprinkler system in the lot next door sliced through our fiber line. I was fortunate that I was working from home and knew immediately what happened. Was an inconvenience, but Frontier was out the next day to run a new fiber line, so we were down for less than 24 hours.

I had a bit of an issue with my rate changing but I called and it got sorted out to my satisfaction.

Interesting timing. We made a mistake and cut the line yesterday. A line they buried about 2" deep, by the way. Maybe less. The tool that cut it is 2" max. Their bot knew immediately we needed a tech and scheduled the appointment for 1-5 today. Here we are at 635 and still waiting. New window is 5-8.

Yes this is our fault except I don't know that <2" deep is adequate installation. The current line was installed about six months ago when the city cut the old one doing a major utility repair under my driveway so the burial was done well after the original connection was made.

Not super happy with service today.

No issues with service after 3.25 years. I agree though, the line was buried very shallowly down the center of my side yard.

Technically neither cut was their fault and they fixed the first one very quickly and it seemed to be fine until yesterday when a very shallow gardening tool cut it. On the other hand the run is right on top of our sprinkler so kind of a no win. Honestly had they kept the original 1-5 I wouldn't be sour at all.

Update: they failed to keep today's appointment and are now telling me it'll be Thursday afternoon. My other option is late next week. So yeah that's poor. Looks like Verizon has taken over support.
