David Wolff at the POM farm market. He's retiring in July which makes me sad but the dude deserves a rest.
He grows an amazing tomato called Hungarian Oxheart that is great fresh and makes great sauce. He was nice enough to give me a few seedlings so I hope I can continue to keep his legacy going!

I have some tomotoes that seemed to be very good
Also alot of cucumbers but they are the pickling kind and I pick them small

Check out A&B Farmstead on Facebook. They set up every Saturday at the farmers market in downtown Caldwell, but she also works on west campus and can probably do drop offs depending on quantity.

Two different tomotoes. I think it is getting just about time

Looking good! Better Boy and Grand Marshall are my two winners this season. Lemon Boy has under produced, as has Sun Gold. Pulled some big varieties that had stopped and replaced with Porter which usually does well in our heat for me.
My next door neighbor gave me two beef master and thoae plants are already 7 foot tall actually 5 but now thwy are hanging over my cagea at least two feet
I planted grand marshall and celebrity plus in 4-2 rows
Then freeze and lost 70 and then a frost and lost 30
So I got no clue what row is what plants and what is what because farm patch could only get grand marahall and them could only get celebrties and that frustrates me because I really wanted to know whatgrew better
Anyways. I am going to be setting up tomorrow from 9-10 at the same place as always
I am going to have a 6 poind limit on tomotoes because I only have about 70-90 pounds They are also still not completely ripe but cloae

Also. Most of the cucumbers are for pickling unless you like small cukes

I'll be there in five-ish minutes. I had an alarm set, but I had to take my mom to the doctor this morning. Leaving Castlegate now.

Picked up some Maddiedou tomatoes this morning and stopped by HEB for a few other ingredients on the way home.
Homemade salsa
(You can adjust quantities as desired, but this is what we usually go with.)
6-8 Garden fresh tomatoes (or Roma if store bought)
10-12 Tomatillos
2 onions
1 head of garlic
1-2 jalapenos or serranos (to taste - start with one!)
Big pinch of salt
Juice of 1-2 limes
Bunch of cilantro
Sprinkle of cumin
Oven to 425
Take the husks off the tomatillos. Cut the tomatoes and romas in half and put them face down on a sheet pan. Rough chop the onions and sprinkle them around. Add the japs/serranos to the tray. Drizzle it with avocado oil (or olive oil, something relatively neutral)
Peel off some of the outside paper of the garlic head, then whack the very top off to expose the cloves. Drizzle with some olive oil, wrap it in a small piece of foil and add it to the tray.
Roast for 25-35 minutes.
Wait until the tomatoes have cooled down, then take off the skin and remove any tough stems
Put everything in a food processor / blender. Add as many cloves of garlic as you want but enjoy several of them now because roasted garlic is awesome. Add as much fresh cilantro as you like. Add salt and lime juice to taste, blend / puree to desired thickness.
Enjoy with good tortilla chips or on tacos.

I got done Maddiou tomatoes too!
Met the local legend in person today. His tomatoes are delicious.
I need to make a response because the first tomotoes are always questionable So if anybody ever gets a bad tomotoe I will replace it and if you cant make it to have replaced I will drive to you to replace it

Well. I may be done for two weeks This last rain they are all now turning and not red
Every year the last two years i probably threw away 200 pounds plus each year And I have been spraying cal meg weekly in ground and leaves Yes I know to much can do the same thing but we will see
