My wife and I are headed to RR this weekend for a wedding, and we're looking for a local place to eat Friday night and/or Saturday. What recs do you have for a wood-fired pizza joint or a local diner? Or - anything else you think is good? TIA

I think 600 degree pizza downtown is good. There are also a couple bars down there in walking distance.

Not wood fired, but Pinthouse Pizza is tough to beat, especially if you love good beer.

Salt Traders is also in that same shopping center and a solid seafood option.

I would highly recommend Via 313 for some Detroit style pizza - it's good!

Pinthouse and 600 Degrees are both good options, but 600 is on Main Street so you can make an evening there if you're inclined

1. Jack Allens kitchen is very good, I would call for reservations. Near I-35 & Old Settlers Blvd.

Original 600 deg in Georgetown much better than the round rock locale. Quick ride up I35. And better beer selection.

Don't you have that backwards? I've always thought the 600 Degrees Pizza in Round Rock was better. Nicer atmosphere, larger beer selection. Overall, they are pretty close. Not enough to dump the RR location and drive to GT.
