Spectrum is pissing me off. It's down at least one day a week. Any recs (I know there aren't a ton) in the NW Austin/Cedar Park area? I've heard horror stories about Google Fiber ripping **** up and leaving it.

I have a t mobile internet device and love it. Two people WFH, 3 kids at home during the summer streaming/gaming and no issues. $35/month no infrastructure

We have spectrum at work, and have been experiencing the same. It's been going out pretty frequently, and typically for 3-4 hours at a time. We're about to change.

We have AT&T, and it's been fine at the house. No issues and not too pricey.

How is their service delivered? Is it cell service to a router in the house?

$35 seems like a great deal.

Just checked their plans. Even the best plan (with mesh) is still cheaper than what I'm paying Spectrum. Think the $35 is only if you get a landline as well.

Had AT&T Fiber when we were in Cedar Park with absolutely no issues, great service.

Now have Optimum Fiber in Leander (just became available here a few months back) and it's been solid but a bit up and down recently.

GFiber can be a pain with install, same as any other new install hard wired service.

Since installing, we've had little to no issues. I did manage their installation and ended moving their termination box to a more ideal location on my house, but I was able to get their techs back out to re-terminate for me.

I would look into starlink and tmo if you don't want to mess with hard wire service.

Spectrum sucks! Unreliable, and constantly gradually increasing the cost.

Switched to AT&T, and reliability problem is solved. I'm in NW Hills, and they're bringing Google Fiber in, so it looks like I'll have another viable option in the future.

Did I mention that Spectrum sucks?

Couple days into T Mobile and it's been great thus far. Set up was a little frustrating, but once it got going it's been easy. Will give it a few more days before I cancel Spectrum.

Are you using your equipment or Spectrum's? I use my own equipment and my Spectrum internet works perfectly unless there's an outage in my neighborhood. I wish I could get ATT but Spectrum is all that's available in my neighborhood.

It's all cellular. Just a little black box you plus into a wall outlet. Magic.

When I lived near Lakeline, we used AT&T fiber and it was awesome.
