Was an attorney for the Gulf Cartel. If I am the Southlake police I am not sure I would be very motivated to try to solve this one, just let this whole thing go away.

Im thinking this guy could be one of the very top shot-callers of this organization. Foot soldiers and simple attorneys don't get to go live in a gated community in southlake.

I doubt the Southlake PD has the resources to solve a case like that.

Yeah, drug cartel hit investigations aren't exactly in their wheelhouse. Stolen laptops, stolen iphone/pads, and teenagers throwing loud parties while mom and dad are in Aspen are probably their specialty.

You forgot the part where the grizzled vet is only a couple weeks away from retirement when the shootout goes down ...

I was just down the street getting some ice cream with my family when this happened. I had just said to my wife, "We could go down to Southlake Town Center and walk around ... " Thankfully, she wanted to head home instead. Crazy stuff. Only the third homicide in Southlake since the mid-90s, and the only non-domestic one in that time.

RIP....Saul Goodman.
