Friend in Allen showing me pictures of a pretty good funnel cloud. She thinks it was a tornado, but from the size of it, we'd have heard a lot more about it.
There was a good wall cloud and brief rotation on the storm as it moved from McKinney into Allen yesterday evening.
Never formed a funnel that I saw though.
Same. We had a great view of the wall cloud as it rolled in. My wife pointed out a small twist to it, but never looked like it was gonna drop down.
I'm in Allen and it rolled near my house off Exchange. Got a video of it from my front yard, the lower part is obstructed by trees though. Not interesting enough to post here. These swirly things in the sky seem to be getting too common in my neighborhood. Three tornadoes have touched down in my division since I have lived here.
A house in my neighborhood was struck by lighting and caught on fire. This is something else that seems to be more common. I was reading about it and they said its likely due to the taller houses without well developed trees around them. I have looked into lightning rods for the house, but hear mixed reactions about them.
