I broke my ankle years ago. As I have gotten older I started having more and more issues. Went to see a couple of specialty doctors and it seemed to me that their first approach was always from a surgery perspective. I would have probably gone this direction had they not suggested that I wait until I was a bit older and the technology had gotten better.
Eventually I started developing a back issue and a friend suggested I see a chiropractor named Jeff Sacrella at T Bar M Tennis Center in North Dallas. First about Jeff; He is a world class athlete. Played tennis at FSU and reached some very high levels of the sport. Today he is a highly rated triathlete. Besides his athleticism he combines this mindset with his love of physiology.
In going to see him he quickly diagnosed my issues, worked with me in his office and then gave me a plan to work on these problems. The real kicker is he explained to me what was happening with my ankle that surgeons just never did, worked to get flexibility going, scraping out scar tissue and a plan to work on it. I am so much better today and shudder when I think about how I was practically begging for an ankle replacement.
So, I throw this out for you as maybe a second opinion type of thing. I cannot say enough good things about Jeff.
