I'd think the opposite. These are waiters and cooks for a steakhouse with peak demand. Anybody in service industry knows theirlr wants aren't close to what the customer wants.
Regardless, you don't drop a day, Easter, for your customers. I don't care how much you like Perry's but bringing out a wrongly cooked piece of meat at a supposedly top tier major US city? Nope, there's no excuse. Subpar restaurant.

You had a single bad experience on a holiday. Those are never the best days for restaurants. The dozens of times I have eaten there were all good. Guess you have some steakhouse loyalty but only to a pork chop not steaks... Got it.
Cafe Pacific in Highland Park Village is very good. Pepper steak is legit.
Town Hearth has one of the best steaks I've ever had. But the experience sucks now. We won't ever go back. Their focus now is turning tables and rushing you out of the restaurant. F that noise if my paying for a nice meal.
I would highly recommend Al Biernats. It's a Dallas institution.

Never experienced the getting rushed thing. That's a bummer. Pretty pricey place so if I'm going to spend that money I want to enjoy the experience.

Maybe it's new. Not sure. They only give you an hour and a half at the table now. They tell you that when you show up and then the waiter is incessantly rushing you during the meal. Miserable experience.bagger05 said:

The other place that I've experienced this is Meddlesome Moth and I've never gone back there for same reason.
Monarch is worth a try. More Italian than pure steakhouse but they have a lot of steak on the menu. 49th floor in the National on Elm downtown so pretty cool views
I had the same experience, and it was very unfortunate however they were very clear when we made the reservation that was the case. It definitely put a damper on the experience because we could have easily been done with dinner in that timeframe, however the waiter was very much all over us which wasn't pleasant. You can avoid it by getting a later reservation at 8pm or later.
Del Friscos at its Addison location was always nails. FT Worth location is legit too. I've been to the new one at legacy twice and it doesn't do as much for me for some reason.
Capital Grille is great,
Nick and Sams is next level good.
Al Bernaits is probably close to New Del Friscos.
Perry's and Ruth's Chris do not belong on these lists.

I've been to the new Steve Fields in Plano twice. Food was great, medium-rare is more rare than medium.
And everyone has missed Charco Broiler.
Not prime beef but Hoff's steaks and steins is a new place in frisco. We've been twice and their streak is pretty damned good.
Staff - take out the trash.

Unique wine list as well. Had a fantastic Cab Franc by the glass which I don't see often.

They also had a 2012 Robert Sinskey Marcien as their very high end choice by the glass. Shocked to see that because that is my wife's favorite all-time wine and that year. We use to have a few bottles of it that we got from the winery while in Napa. Never seen it on a menu.

Dee Lincoln Prime at the Star was a good experience. It should be on this list.
III Forks can be quite good and I would put it higher.
Bob's is well done but not memorable other than a giant carrot IMO.
Knife has one of the best damn burgers I have had (I know I know, not why you would normally go to a steakhouse, but a very nice lunch)
Monarch and Georgie. Also where money goes to die.
