I don't get the fascination with having to make a stop at Buc'ees for a less than three hour road trip let alone two stops.

Not sure why anyone would be driving to College Station these days.

I'm going this weekend only because it's been planned for months. This will be my only game this year. Even though I have season tickets I usually just make two games a year. The way this team and program is headed right now I may not even go to a game next year.

Took 35E to 6 this weekend pulling the trailer. With the 35 construction being all but done... not a bad route at all. Just one or two towns to slow down...

The main street light in Hearne can cause a huge backup. They need to fix that on Friday afternoons. We lost 20 minutes just sitting through that light.

Speed limit on 6 is mostly 75 and the road is in good shape... you can really cook it on that road.

It's a much better route than it was 15-20 years ago, especially now that all of 6 is four lanes.

I come from the Richardson area. I've been doing this route regularly since 1975:

45-14-6

I've tried other routes but this one is consistently better. Especially since 6 is four lanes all the way now.

If you ain't going 85-90 on 14 you're doing it wrong. I grew up near Hearne so was simply the quickest way home for me
