Is there going to be a march in into downtown Fort Worth for the Arkansas game?

Last year on the way to March in we were blocked by a octoberfest run/bike at Lancaster & Hemphill. So pissed! My amazing wife said you and the girls and father in law get out and start walking towards the parade route and I will drive your truck. absolutely ridiculous!!!

Feel like I ask this every year but does the band still practice up here Friday before? Or do they drive up on game day?

Your wife thanked baby jebus she could drive around FW instead of watching kids in military costumes walk down the street. She probably headed to Chimy's for a marg. Pics?

There's a nice little donut place at 4th and Commerce, FunkyTown Donuts and Drafts, I found last year that has a few outside tables. My son and I showed up early, grabbed some donuts, and parked it outside to watch the Corps march right by us.

Without a doubt! Shes a horned frog so she probably could care less. The original Freds is more her style if they were open mornings. My father in law, former tcu professor and lover of all things college related, he loved his first march in. (and so did my girls)

still haven't tried the new Freds. I've driven by a few times at lunch and the parking lot is extremely full...

great to know!
I still haven't tried the new Paris coffee shop which I've eaten since I was 2-3yr old and Mom and I would go on Thursdays to get chicken & dumplings and I'm worried that Lou has ruined it. We will see

That's our plan. Plus our friends own it so we go when we can.

Still feels like a steak & ale, not Fred's. But I'm glad it's much more convenient to me than it used to be.

There's a new one? Used to live in fairmont. Old one still there?

Yes it's still there but Lou lambert (dutches, Roy pope) bought it from mike smith (rip) and remodeled it and is open evenings and I think has a bar.

I went there a few days after the reopening. Hopefully they have worked out some issues.

How long has he had Dutch's? I noticed a decline in their quality of buns the past year in my personal opinion.

He and Grady Spears opened Dutch's in '07

Lou's family owns a lot of land in Marfa/Alpine and sister runs Lamberts steak in Austin and Austin Motel.

Ah, did not know that. Well the quality of the food in the past year has been in steep decline so we no longer frequent it.

One thing we've noticed over the past couple years is that our burgers are usually not hot when we get them.

I'm interested to try the new jons grill

As am I, Bonnell's on Bryant Irvin is one of my wife & I's favorites. I'm also a fan of Buffalo bros and waters.

And his curbside pickup at Bonnell's during the week is great if you forget or don't have time to cook.

No time to cook, but you've got time to sit on the access road in line for an hour?

Doesn't take an hour if you're first in line.

Being self employed has its benefits! Swing by, pick up food, drop it at the house then back to work!

Yes bonnells is one of our family favorites and we've picked up many to go meals at curbside. Get there around 3 and you will be first to third in line and only wait 30mins. I'm also self employed.

Love Bonnell's, but man I can't afford to eat there on a regular basis. Anyplace that's >$100 a person is not on my regular rotation.
