Power went out here in Lower Greenville around 6:45pm. Going to be real unpleasant around here really quickly.

Had two different friends lost power down there, one near Henderson/75 and the other on Belmont between Skillman and Abrams. One of them has already been restored so sounds like a rolling brownout.
Really? Why would you think it's a "rolling brownout?"
Because it was 109 degrees today and 105 at sunset and we've had power shortages the last few days. Two people I know in a similar area but not the exact same both had power out for about half an hour before it just came back on. Doesn't sound like a transformer or line problem to me so programmed outage makes sense given the context clues.

Well you're wrong, there were no brown outs and not even close today or 99.999% of the time.
Thundering in SW Fort Worth right now, I didn't know or expect it might rain tonight!
Crazy lightning right now
Got a nice soaking rain here in Trophy Club. Surrounding areas got some too. It was a nice surprise. We missed out on a lot of the early summer rains. Things seemed to go all around us.

It got up to 87 indoors here, right before the power came back on at 10:15pm.
Didn't get a drop of rain in Carrollton so far.
Crazy wind, thunder and lightning for about 30 mins now. Pouring rain. A few deeply creepy neon green lightning flashes in the clouds. West FW
Heavy wind and lightning for awhile as the rain seemed to circle around us here in NW Fort Worth (5 miles west of 820/35), but hard rain finally got to us and it's been a heavy downpour for last 20 minutes. Radar shows we've probably got another 20 minutes of good rain to go.

Looked like it was coming right for us in Prosper. About 10 drops at 730 tonight. Then it all went west and south and stuff popped to the east.

Just got power restored. Inside only made it to 80
New estimated return of power. 730am. Going on 11 hours without power. Looks like I'll be opening a fridge full of spoiled food.
Had a full inch of rain in about 30 minutes here at the home of Cowboys and Rangers. Lots of wind and hail too.

First measurable rain I've seen in months
Y'all are welcome. I ran the sprinklers last night.
First rule of power outage is don't open the fridge. 11hours should be ok with a modern fridge. I think.
We had a switch installed to plug a basic gas generator into our house. It's purely to run the furnace fan (gas heat) and fridges/freezer.
Much more affordable option compared to a $12k generac.

Nothing has been open since power went out. Deep freezer and other freezers are full and fully trust them to be ok. It's all dairy, eggs, and uncured meat I'm more worried about.
Now I'm just angry tired and annoyed our power went out long before any weather event occurred.

Sucks. Wind was crazy even if you weren't under a storm.
