Any recommendations for removal/stump grinding? Have a 30 foot Lacebark Elm on the ground in my backyard from yesterday.

You mind sharing the price range you paid? I have a very large elm that I'm having removed. Limited access and probably 20 - 25' circumference at the base (double stem) and between two houses with almost 100% of the canopy over the roofs.

I realize it's going to be complicated to remove but the prices I'm seeing surprised me a bit. Everything has been over $6500.

give JC tree a call. They specialize in difficult removals. They gave one of my customers a competitive bid on a very difficult removal of a pecan.

Just following up - we did get a proposal from JC Tree Service, thanks for the suggestion.

We ended up going with Blue Ox. Process was easy and their price was very competitive. Office was easy dealing with my insurance requirements. There was some incidental damage on my neighbors AC condenser but they worked with him to replace the damaged components (had him added as add'l insured as well just for good measure prior to the project).

I'd recommend Blue Ox to anyone looking for an option on tree removal.
