I believe it was FortWorthAg 02 or some handle like that who was a proponent of Thigbe. Anyone else using them? Looking to cancel a contract and make them move to them for electric.
I was a proponent of them and currently use them but after reading the threads I'm wondering if I should cancel and just research myself. Unfortunately I changed my 84yo parents over to them (after Gexa changed them to a ridiculous plan after 10+yrs w/ them) and then I told a customer about them.
I'm going to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised to have a human answer my call. The guy I spoke with was upfront about the issues they experienced through the summer and I'm going to chalk it up as bad timing across the board for everyone.
I've historically juggled it on my own, but don't have the bandwidth to mess with it any more. Oddly enough I'm looking at breaking a contract w/ Gexa to get this in place. Gexa can get bent.
They put me on a plan that was more than I could have got on Power to Choose. Not that much more but a little more which confused me as I thought they might have leverage to get better rates.
I've used Energy Ogre and now Thigbee.
I think you're better off going to Power to Choose and doing things yourself.
It takes but a few minutes and you have to remember to shop every year or whatever term you sign up for, but it seems you can save yourself the most money by doing it that way.
I'm going to give Thigbee a few more months but I'll likely cancel and go back to Power to Choose.
I have used Texas Power Guide for the past few years with no complaints - my renewal cycle ends around March typically. It allows you to get a little more detailed than Power to Choose if you have the past 12 months of usage.
After it does the analysis, you have to pay ~$10 to unlock the name of the provider with the plan you want.
Used Thigbe since 2018. I have continuously gotten better contracts than what shows on Power to Choose since they negotiate contracts in bulk. Nowadays it's not as drastic as a discount as it was a couple years ago, but it's all good. It's nice to not have to deal with the search and their fee is so low so I have no plans on dropping them.
