From TexAgs Sponsor Texas FilmWorks:
If you run a business, you've probably thought about using video - or maybe you've already tried it. Either way, it's clear that video is one of the easiest ways to show people who you are and what you do. The tricky part is figuring out how to do it well.
You've got a few options:
First - you could take it on yourself.
And honestly, you could probably figure it out. You're used to solving problems and wearing a lot of hats. But learning cameras, lighting, sound, editing, color correction - it's a whole new skillset. And most people don't have time to become a video pro on top of everything else they're already doing.
The second route - bringing in a college student or someone who's just getting started.
It's cheaper. And sometimes, it's enough. But if you're trying to get a return on the time and money you're spending, quality and consistency matter. There's a difference between checking the box and creating something that actually moves the needle.
The third option - working with a team of pros.
That's what we do at Texas FilmWorks. We're a full time production team based in College Station with a team of talented creatives, a studio close to A&M's campus (and we will travel anywhere the project takes us!), high end gear, and a track record of helping businesses tell their stories on screen. We've worked with groups like Texas A&M University, the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, Halff Associates Inc., Texas Aggies United, and Brave Books - projects ranging from polished brand pieces to short social content.
We're not trying to make something flashy just for the sake of it. We care about what the video is supposed to do - explaining, attracting, recruiting, or just helping people understand what you're all about.
If you're kicking around the idea of adding video to your marketing efforts, and you don't want to waste time chasing edits or figuring it out from scratch, we're always up for a conversation.
Here's the trailer to a project we filmed this last summer, Iggy & Mr. Kirk. It's a kids show commissioned by Aggie Owned & Operated Brave Books out of Conroe, TX. Sure the team at Brave could have found a student to film this project, but capturing 20 episodes of TV ready content over less than 6 weeks needed a team of dedicated professionals. We're so excited that the show is live and being seen by the masses!
