Currently out of state, but looking to build within the next year in the Decatur vicinity - ( Decatur, Bowie, Sunset, to Poolville area) - and looking for contractor recommendations.

Ran across Lemme-Johnson Contracting - out of Denton I think. Specific feedback on this company or other recommendations would be great.

Also, any areas to avoid would be great.

We gathered a lot of bids and did our due diligence back in 2019 and built in 2020 outside Forestburg.

We used Simpson and Gardiner out of Decatur. We can strongly recommend Simpson and Gardiner.

If you're building a pretty plain home….John Schdezick would probably be okay….but I wouldn't do anything high end with him.
