How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
My employer is asking me to sign a non-solicitation agreement this year and I'm looking for someone to give it a once over before I sign. Obviously willing to pay for the time.

Any recommendations are appreciated and I'd love to give the business to an Ag, if possible.

Is that the new term for non-competes? Or do they really dislike door to door sales people?

Call Dorman Bell, LLP. They are Aggies and they do great work.

It has traditional non-compete language but also no soliciting of essentially anyone I've worked with, inside or outside of the company, for a period of time after we part ways.

Ah, so you can't recruit anyone if you go to a new place. Gotcha. I'm curious what the current legal landscape in Texas is for these "agreements".

I perceive the language to be ambiguous and potentially unenforceable due to how broad the scope is… hence me wanting a professional opinion.

Makes sense. I remember seeing some cases over the last couple of years in other states ruling that non-competes weren't enforceable at all. But I guess you have to be able to wade through the litigation if you do get sued.
