My MIL was hit by a car while loading groceries into her car at a Fort Worth Wal Mart last week. It was pretty bad. She flew over the car, knocked her shoes off, gave her a severe laceration on her arm which required 27 stitches. She's been in pain since and has had an ER visit as well as a primary care visit. At 72 years old its a miracle she's alive. Trying to avoid the big law hawks and Texas Hammers. We just want to make sure all of her medical is taken care of and to protect what might result from her injuries. Thankfully the driver is insured.

If they're minimums, you may be able to convince them to tender the full amount quickly, and without giving 40% to an attorney, due to the nature of the accident and injuries.

I was in an accident where the other party was 100% at fault. I only broke my nose and had a concussion.
He had minimum limits. His company cut a check for full liability payout, but I had to fight them like hell to get property damage that was within 80% of my cars value.
I called and asked a few lawyers if they would help and all of their answers were that they would go for underinsured limits under my own policy.

Look up Matt McKay in Dallas. He is a family member, great Aggie (leadership officer with Ellis County A&M club for many years) and was my attorney for a very serious car accident case years ago. Tell him Aaron sent you.
