7 shot and 6 died. Short chase down kuykendahl and then a standoff in a neighborhood where he got blocked in a cul de sac. 4 of the 6 that died were kids.

Apparently the only survivor, a teen girl, informed police he was on his way to another address to kill more relatives. He pulled up to the house and SWAT was waiting on him.

T&P for the family and props to the teen for saving those lives.

She did call and tell them the location but police intercepted before he got there. Amazing girl doing that in her condition. She saved additional lives.

I saw a pic of the family this morning it's gut wrenching to imagine what happened to them.

I don't want to take anything away from the gravity of this situation, but I was sitting here thinking about how you kill 6 people of your own family....and it occurred to me that one doesn't just 'up and decide to do it'.

For someone like this, SURELY the wife or someone during the course of this dudes life said "yeah, you know...this dude ain't all right".

Right? You can't hide this kind of crazy.

I do not think you will ever be able to rationalize an irrational person's thought process. Murdering family members is something a deranged person that is not well in the head does. I doubt we will ever hear what set him off or why he did this

It appears the victims are his ex-wife's sister's family. Perhaps he blames them for the divorce. No telling if we'll ever really know.

This is so sad. One of the girls was my son's kindergarten classmate. Now I have to explain to my 6 year old that his friend is dead.

KHOU reporting that in court this morning prosecutors outlined that this thing (can't even call him a person) tied the family up, laid them all on there faces, and shot them all execution style.

Just incredibly sad...God Bless the surviving child.
