There was a guy in our dorm that used to do that at the chicken. When a good looking girl walked by, he would just start calling out girl's names until she turned and then he would ask if they were in some class he was taking. It failed more than it worked…but it did work sometimes.

True Story, the kid from modern family is from Bryan & when I worked for TDCJ, we had one of his uncles locked up at the Hamilton Unit.
The Hamilton Unit is/was a pre-release unit, meaning most of them had less than 18 months to go, but they had to go through some sort of rehab program, or job training, or education or some such. I'm not sure if thats still the case, but it was then.

So, this kids Uncle was doing short time, in the day room, when modern family comes on. (I never saw the show, I just know that Ed O'Neal is on it) Someone went to the picket (control room in the middle of the pod) and requested a channel change. Typically this was done once an hour, but sometimes inmates would request a change if a major sporting event was on, like the Super Bowl or March Madness, you would typically do it at other times as well. (NOTE: If you ever end up in Prison, and you have an elderly black woman as the Boss on your run/pod & she's watching her "stories", you are NOT getting a channel change. Don't even ask)

In any event, Modern Family went off of the screen and Uncle got pissed & wanted it put back. An arguement happened between himself and another inmate, I think the channel stayed on what the other inmate wanted for whatever reason.....Sooooo, Uncle slams down his plastic coffee cup and the handle breaks off from the "cup" part but it makes a sharp point. Uncle then procedes to stab the hell outta the other inmate.......over a TV show.

That was the last stabbing that I had anything to do with before I left working for them.... the Stabee survived & I assume he's still walking around today. The Stabor went back to a real prison with time added.

That's Briana Hildebrand. She graduated from A&M Consolidated high school with one of my kids and Alex Caruso. Pretty good class!

I think her dad might be the Hildebrand that had the Caldwell Country car dealership and maybe related to the Hildebrands that have their name on the Equine center.
