Texas Ranger says first shot was into the family dog within 18 seconds of entry.

The lady was killed on the couch. She was not reported as getting any shots off.

The man came from further in the house and got off "no more than four rounds".

As I recall, five officers were shot. That means one of them shot a fellow officer while they were shooting 40 rounds into the couple and their dog.
