About 4 years ago I had a hell of a time getting a script for vicodin filled, even though it was a legit prescription for a legit reason. It was very frustrating because I was in pretty severe pain.

I hate a freaking awful time trying to get similar meds several years ago. They think they'll get robbed.

Frankly, the abusers and re-sellers ruin it for the those who really need it. And the pharmacies think you're shopping around, especially when you're looking for a certain generic manufacturer. In a city this big, there is no need to shop around; there's a pharmacy everywhere.

Now I haven't worked for a retail chain in over 10 years, so I don't know how much has changed. But when I did, people would walk in asking for Adderall, hydrocodone, etc and didn't live anywhere within the vicinity. No reason to go across town to get a controlled substance filled. There was no way to monitor prescription history.

Nowadays every controlled substance filled can be monitored and reported daily to the state board - When you filled it, what you filled, how many you got, your doctor who wrote it. Pharmacies now required to do due diligence to look up a patient history before filling a control. I don't have to do it, buy I guarantee It's a pain in the ass to do it for everyone getting a controlled script.


Now sometimes there are manufacturer shortages, but usually, that would be conveyed to you by the pharmacy

No pharmacy will ever admit over the phone whether they have adderall, norco, oxycodone, etc.

Also no pharmacy wants to only filled your controlled substances. They don't want to have a high % of controlled subs as their total fills, so if you want to use them for controlleds go in person and talk to pharmacist about switching all your meds over, not just the stuff they hate to fill.

y'all having trouble getting your drug of choice?

It has often been difficult to get in the past, especially towards the end of the year when local pharmacies have used their annual allocation, but it is virtually impossible to get these days. Just another thing to fail.

Roughly over 6% of the over 18 population.

my brother handed me an adderral yesterday at the office and i really regretted that **** at 2am.

not sure how yall take that stuff so much.

Who is your provider? I did the Done online thing and got diagnosed and put on Adderall and hated it. Every pharmacy stopped filling prescriptions for telehealth providers so I didn't have a chance to try anything else.

I am in Austin now and go to a tradition brick and mortar that also does telegraph but I have to go in once a year for Vyvanse. There is no generic for vyvanse so it's more expensive. Tell your provider you have taken adderall and didn't like it because of x and that you'd like to try vyvanse. The side effects are similar but much less common with vyvanse because to the drug uptake method used

If the supply chain for prescription drugs gets disrupted, we gonna have all hell break loose.

Prescription stimulants, SSRI / SNRIs, benzos and opiates.

People trying to wean off the best they can.
