Ramble Creek yesterday. HWY 6 near Quail Valley. Also on Grand Parkway around W Belfort I think. Everything is amazing and their bourbon selection is elite.

I usually stay at home for my bourbon and cocktails

May I ask how you acquired those bottles? Strictly retail? Very impressive.

If you eating a burger meat-up then you are probably an unreliable person, and a person that lacks attention to detail. A meat-up burger tells me you are reckless with your food. So with that, you've got to question everything the person is about.

I'm quite surprised to find such strong opinions on that issue. Seems an odd hill to die on but you do you I guess?

You've got to question the judgment and motives of someone that would do something like that.

Some I get retail but for the BTAC series and dusty Elijah Craig bottles I get via trades and secondary market. We actually have a bourbon trading forum in the Spirits section of TexAgs.

I'm about to go dry for 30 days courtesy of Uncle Sam so wanted to go out with a bang

Yep, burger patty should be lower to get taste bud preference, followed by cheese, followed by veggies.

I renew my claim that Pappas BBQ has the best burger in town.

Fixed the burger right side up because it hard to assess the quality of a burger when its upside down.

But that does look like a good burger. I retract everything bad I said about the papas bbq burger.

Now I'm curious what your favorite burger is.

It's probably just your pic. I don't have gram worthy photos either. But I typically go for a smash burger. They are delicious.

Fair enough. I've caught enough flack for my pictures of BBQ recently to support this theory. I know my taste buds are on point so if there were something major wrong with the things I'm eating, I'd know it. I guess my iphone/potato photos are just insufficient.

I like Scotty's.

Though I like to say I'm going to Booth, TX so it seems like more of a getaway. Bonus points for being able to look across the creek and see where hamburgers come from.

Haha I started to say Booth but figured nobody would recognize it. Have you been to the Flying Cow just down the road? Pretty good Wagyu burgers farm raised right there. How about the Jay Cafe in Needville. Incredible chicken fried steak.

both of those places are awesome

Every burger I've had at Bubba's Texas burger shack has been great. Now, it's been several years since my last visit. But, it's always been a great for me.

I miss the burgers made at the old Christian's Totem (i.e. original Christian's Tailgate) off Westcott. Them and Lankford's Grocery were/are my favorite old school burger.

The pimento is interesting. When I read that, I immediately thought of The Masters pimento cheese sandwiches.

Because maybe it tastes good?

Can't say I'm a fan of pimento, or at least haven't had it in probably 30 years, but it is perfectly ok to have something on a burger more than dry ass bread and a patty.

I had one the other day that had some jalapeno cream cheese on it, and it was friggin nails.
