Yesterday was a red letter day for the ol' post office. I come out this morning to get my mail.

7 pieces of mail
1 for my address
6 for other addresses, none the same
Of which, 1 is a different street altogether.

As I'm standing there chuckling, an elderly neighbor lady comes up to give me a piece of mail, *****ing about the postal service. I thank her, sharing in my thoughts about our illustrious government efficiency. Only to look down after she left, wrong address.

So I delivered 7 different pieces of mail this morning. That has to be a record, right? At least I go my exercise in.

My ex lives in WI and had mail forwarding. My father sent a card to my kid (with me) and it was returned noting that the forwarding expired. Impressive really.

That's more than the post office delivered today!

I'm old enough to remember when postal workers were competent and friendly. Our mail lady used to stop and take her break at our house sometimes. She'd come in and have coffee with my mom. That was along time ago!

On MLK Day, I ordered a Texans shirt to wear to work the Friday before the Ravens game. The shirt had free one-day shipping. I'm still waiting.

Would be crazy if certain zip codes still got their ballots delivered/returned and certain zip codes did not

"125 years ago it used to take a full week for the postal service to deliver mail from St. Louis to San Francisco via Pony Express. Nowadays with the arrival of scanning equipment, computers and even air mail, they've managed to shave a full day off that delivery time."

I figure i would post this one. I knew 99 was a large road. Didnt know it takes days to go from Sugar Land to Porter. Might be faster if I go meet the guy.

I guess I was asking to much for the item I ordered, to get delivered to my house in Porter. USPS said, hold our beer, while we yeet your package to California.

Goodbye package wish we could have gotten to know one another.

On my soccer jersey, the Chinese company sent me the wrong tracking info. Thankfully they sent me a pic of the shipping label. I watched my package tracking as they delivered it to somewhere outside Philly, then I figured it out and entered the correct number. Oddly enough, my package was delivered at almost the exact same time as the incorrect package. So, check the tracking number, don't just hit the hyperlink.

Decrease the amount of mail and that will improve service.

Full Stop on Non Profits getting cheap postage. The system is supposedly losing money so make this simple change- Make Everyone mailing anything pay Full Price. Politicians Included!!!

I did doubled check everything before I even placed the order. Not the first time, I've ordered something and it got bounced around like a pin ball.

Favorite shipping experience was I ordered a bayonet from California for a rifle I own. It landed in Houston by FedEx, then FedEx said nah he can wait. Next day it was in Chicago.

Called FedEx on that one, they apologized for the mix up and it was delivered 2 days later.

Not sure how that got messed up.

Similar thing happened to me once, and they said it was probably a misread by the barcode scanners.
