I really thought that Mayor Whitmire would clean up some of this ... I am all in favor of sending out helpful messages when there is a storm or flooding, but it blows my mind the useless messages that are sent out to the city.


i.e. "Alert Houston, Tropical Storm information!" ... that is it!

The Trader Joe's jokes on facebook aren't as good as the real world Dona Leti's troll. Those ****ers had me convinced enough to drive over there expecting the restaurant to be open.

Dona Leti's announced they were opening up in that colonial center on S. Pose Oak, where Juicy Crawfish was. They had facebook posts like it was a done deal. When I went by, they had a banner up over the door that said Coming Summer 2024. No more announcements or replies to questions, and then the banner was gone last time I drove by.

Looks like they did open a storefront further down Post Oak outside the Beltway (which I think might be where they started with the foodtruck). I almost wonder if the announcement of the Juicy location was just part of lease haggling or something.
