Had to use IAH for a trip a few weeks back and was not aware of how much a crap fest that entire pickup and parking area was. Any options on avoiding that mess or just avoid all together?

Terminal A was a mess Sunday night. Thought I was going to miss my flight.

I'm sure others have different ideas but here is what I have done:

If picking up and traffic to Terminal CDE is backed up - I have them tram over to A/B. Sometimes I have them meet me at the passenger drop-off area.

If traffic through CDE is light - then I haven't really had an issue picking up at C but all depends on how busy the airport is that day.

Thought about the tram as an option, thanks for the suggestions to all.

You're right but it's at least more manageable than C. I've thought about going to A for this purpose, too.

B is messed up now too. The garage is no longer connected to airport with the renovations there.

Drop off and pick up still works there.

It caught me off-guard the the off-site parking shuttle pickup at B is now in the garage.

Any time frame when this cluster f will be over. I'm in college station now so Austin may be my option for flights.

It's never ending. Terminal A will be needing a refresh by the time Terminal B and the current project (New international pier and arrivals) is complete.

No just valet at C.

Check this site - then decide where to park. If you decide to park at a/b then you have 2 choices - go through security at a/b and take the skyway tram to C-D-E or take the lower level tram to C-D-E and go through your terminal

Do you even know how to do kickbacks? If you just have one problem that isn't solved then it is hard to get away with kickbacks. So just create 10 problems all compounding on each other that way it creates some big URGENCY which means decisions have to be made fast. Also because of the urgency overtime and other things get more expensive. That means more money for contractors! This is going according to plan.

The "park at B and take the sky train to C/E" trick just got completely messed up. They've blocked the hallway from the parking garage to the terminal so you have to walk outside through scaffolding and into one of the pick up doors to get to the terminal.

I parked smack in the middle of the a/b garage this week and decided to go through A for the a/C. It was a long trip to my car from the way back of E last night. I was cursing my decision not to fly southwest.

AGJV and COH are at each others throats over the international terminal. COH is operating with their typical incompetence and screwing contractors in the process.

It's still better than most other options so will continue to be my go to ..

The walk outside does take a bit longer since the walkway directly into the terminal is under construction but seriously, it may add 2 minutes tops to reach the same B escalators that take you up to security level. I just did it this past week and worked fine. 0 person wait in TSA pre line on a Monday morning around 10am at B

Shuttle vans have to fight the terminal traffic also, so not really.

Yes, it works fine and is still faster than fighting the traffic and construction over at C/E. It's just obnoxious to have to walk outside in the heat and noise and scaffolding. I thankfully haven't had to make that walk in a rain storm yet.

It can and we sometimes use Parking Spot on JFK as my wife has to use that for business travel if she doesn't Uber to airport so we also use it personally to burn points or on a longer trip. It is hit or miss but sometimes they will take you into traffic hell through D/E/C even though the riders only need to be dropped off at A or B. For infrequent travelers that is what I recommend doing.

Flying to MUC out of E on Saturday. Going to Uber. Where should I have them drop me off for best results of avoiding traffic?
