D drop off and check in with United at D. Walk across to E.

You could also have Uber drop off at the Marriott and then take the subway. We did that coming home 2 weeks ago and it worked really well.

It's horrible...arrived to the onsite Terminal C parking garage a while back just over two hours before my flight. The signs on each level indicated plenty of open parking spots but they were all wrong...I drove around and could not find a thing. Decided to exit to go to an offsite lot and shuttle back, but got stuck in gridlocked traffic for a good half hour or so on the way. Then check-in and security was obviously a cluster F. I ended up being a little over an hour late for my flight, but luckily it was delayed by 3 hours so I had a couple hours to spare in which I could regroup.

Recently opted to drive to Nola for a business trip rather than fly...just because my last few experiences have been so bad (and we are far from Hobby).

It's been a few weeks, but I think I was just parking at A and taking the skytrain to D.

You can park A, take underground train to any of them with checked bags. That is still connected. Although the walkway from C to B in the terminal is not longer there.

true. That underground tram is cramped and slow, so I avoid if at all possible, but would work in a pinch

The drive into B has improved some with that middle lane opening back up after they demo'd the old sky walk to the old rotunda b terminal. So that has helped some for my usual park in B and train to wherever….

Drop off at B, go through security and take the sky train to your C gate.

And we can definitely check bags at B and fly out of C? Pretty sure we've done this before...but want to make sure.

100% You can check bags in B for any United flights, even international out of E.

It's a hit/miss situation and It depends on the time of the day. If you go there in the 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. or so window, expect it to be a cluster because that is the timeframe when you have multiple jumbo jets international arriving

Not problem at all this morning and literally zero line at security.

No more checking bags for this mas. Everyone gets an Away 4 roller bag to carry on and a backpack.
Wifey complained at first but now she's good with it. Has made traveling so much easier.

Today is supposedly going to be the busiest air travel day ever.

Yeah. If doing pick up and/or drop off absolutely no reason to check traffic and just go to C. My wife dropped me off at C last Saturday and it was a breeze. When I landed I checked traffic and had an Uber pick me up at B.

When I park I just default to A/B because it's impossible to know what it'll be like when I land.

Getting out of E was like trying to escape the Poseidon. Elevators backup up. Escalators broken. Artificial walls funneling you to nowhere.

United has a check in counter at D, it's just a short walk to the lounge in E. But lately some of my Int'l flights have been leaving from C, so good to check.

here's a nice little secret for everyone. Walk past all these people waiting on their Ubers to the taxi stand at the very end. We did it on Saturday night and had a taxi in five minutes. Price of taxi was $25 less than the Uber prices being quoted on the app.

Turner tore up the well planned design when he took office over 8 years ago including the enabling work that ended up happening after a lot of the E and C work. Didn't change end date so multiple projects were stacked on top of each other. Most of the work should have been completed prior to 2020, but city was revising entire scope of project because they could no longer afford the 2016 project by the time they rebid it.

Turner claims he "saved" taxpayer money but that was for a reduced scope that will likely end up costing more.

Plus now the beltway is a mess between Bush and i45

I fly out at 720am tomorrow out of terminal A. I normally would not get to the airport for this flight until 620-630. Tomorrow I'm thinking I need to be earlier but does anyone have any guidance based on experience today with lines? I have tsa precheck.

B was fine tonight at about 5. Getting there kind of a pain with lights still out.

How was it this morning? I'm Flying out of B tomorrow.
