For those of you who mentioned how miserable of an evening this would be - it's quite possible that you'd have been miserable, but we both really enjoyed it. I hate taking photos but this photographer was quick and really worked well with us. You may not want to wear a tux, but my fiance and I enjoy and excuse to get dressed up occasionally and the hotel we took the photos at was a fun place to hang out and have a drink beforehand, and then we enjoyed the dinner and a lovely evening afterwards.
I originally booked at Tony's ("stuffiest place in town" seemed appropriate), but after discussing with her we decided since we had just done a high end steakhouse in Austin the week before, to try something more eclectic this go round. We went to MAD instead and decide to just rock what we were wearing. The restaurant was interesting - I wouldn't go back, but it was enjoyable and every dish was a conversation starter. (We had to pick up pizza from a NY style place on the way back.)
Based on the second photo Ima guess yall made it to the Magic Time Machine.
Not what I was expecting for the white tux. Doesn't truly look all that out of place on a given Saturday night downtown. Where's the 2nd picture from?
