Wasn't Lee Ellis also part of creating BRC? I know he helped start up State Fare which at first was supposed to somewhat be a spiritual successor to BRC.Diggity said:
that whole F.E.E.D Restaurant Group dissolved.
I feel like there were a bunch of those spots that had a location or two that did well, went on an expansion run, then failed.
Caswell, Treadsack, etc.'
edit...Looks like the main chef from the group went through recovery and is now a life coach

Speaking of restaurant groups that started off hot from that era, Underbelly Hospitality looks to be on its last legs.
Underbelly Burger is good but close to $20 for a burger combo WTF.cajunaggie08 said:Wasn't Lee Ellis also part of creating BRC? I know he helped start up State Fare which at first was supposed to somewhat be a spiritual successor to BRC.Diggity said:

I'd like to try Wild Oats or whatever the other restaurant at the farmers market but $40 for CFS is wild.
Thats only $3 more than a burger combo at Fuddruckers. I've never had Underbelly Burger but its sadly not surprising its $20 for a burger combo.drumboy said:Underbelly Burger is good but close to $20 for a burger combo WTF.cajunaggie08 said:Wasn't Lee Ellis also part of creating BRC? Yes, but Underbelly Burger was good but not that substantial in size. If I'm paying $20 I want more than a 1/3 lb patty.Jugstore Cowboy said:
$20 for a good burger seems to be pretty close to the norm these days, outside of fast food. And fast food is catching up.
OK, I need to just go back and enjoy myself. This looks F'in good that I'd choose a beer better than hipster bud light. Menu says $12 for the base burger, combo is add $5, and since I've liberated myself from pressure tipping and click NO TIP when I order standing up so I'll get out under $20.drumboy said:Yes, but Underbelly Burger was good but not that substantial in size. I haven't and didn't know it was a Berg spot so I probably won't ever make it. Loro isn't bad.Diggity said:
Speaking of local burgers...has anyone tired Berg's new spot at MKT (Buttermilk Baby)?
We tried to check it out on Sunday at lunch and there must have been 100 people waiting outside.
Haha - we tried too and it was ridiculous.Quote:

Loro is great. And not Berg related.
