Mattress Mack has been hospitalized at st Luke's due to cognitive issues.

Check out his fb page. Even in the ER he's asking people to buy furniture to make him feel better

Sure hope it's a simple virus or some such that can truly be addressed quickly. Prayers for Mack!

Wow. Timing.

I was at the Notre Dame game last night with my son in law ('23) and we were talking about the crowd's reaction when Mac comes on the Jumbotron. My SIL is from Dallas and he remembers the first time he was at Kyle and all the students from Houston reacted so positively when anything from Mac was shown. They were always eager to tell non-Houstonian why and everyone soon came to love him. We spent a few moments discussing Mac and what he has meant for the Houston community with his furniture business, philanthropy and as a community leader. I even mentioned how much of a void in the fabric of what makes Houston great it would cause one day when he is gone and I was at a loss on who from Houston could fill his shoes.

I hope all turns out well and we will have many more years of Mac. I will be praying for his family and his doctor's healing hands.

Looking better than he did yesterday. He said he felt nauseous all day Friday and then on the way to work Saturday he missed his exit for the first time in 43 years and when he got there couldn't remember what day it was.

A mobile stroke unit came out and took him to the emergency room.

If coffee is for closers, this man drinks it by the 55 gallon drum.

I'll be fine. Just keep buying that furniture!

Probably trying to sell the hotel management on an entire hospital worth of tempurpedic mattress, promising to have them delivered tonight with no back back back order slips.

Probably up at 3 a.m. placing 7 figure bets on Paralympics archery.

He's out of the hospital and showing off his cellulitis.
